Tony Romo injuryTony Romo owners got some terrible news on Monday night as the Pro Bowl quarterback fractured his left clavicle against the Giants. Right now we’re hearing that Romo can miss anywhere from 6-10 weeks, which essentially means he’s done for the season. Things just can’t get any worse for the Cowboys, can they? Oh, they can. They’re starting Jon Kitna at quarterback, who completed 48.5 percent of his passes on Monday night. Is there really no one else? Vinny Testaverde’s not available?

Well, maybe things can’t be any worse for the Cowboys, but fear not fantasy owners, you can make due with this injury. There are a few guys on the wires right now who are playing well and deserve your look. First you have to start with Ryan Fitzpatrick who will be the pickup of the week, after having thrown seven touchdowns over his past two games. He’s a legit talent. You can also look and see if someone like Joe Flacco is available. He’s tallied at least one touchdown in six straight games and hasn’t thrown a pick in his last three. Others to consider are Chad Henne, who’s thrown seven TDs over the past four weeks, and Matthew Stafford who looks to return in Week 8.

Take a deep breath Romo owners, we’ll get you through this.
