On the February 14 episode of Raw, it was announced that The Rock would serve as guest host for WrestleMania XXVII. The Rock then subsequently made his first appearance in a WWE ring in seven years, publicly mocking both Miz and Cena in his return promo.

However, the world of wrestling is more of a business than other sports. The entire selling point for the WWE relies upon people trusting the judgment of the company that they are being pushed in the right direction. That is why they make business decisions to hire or fire wrestlers and allow certain wrestlers to win championships.

At the following week’s Elimination Chamber event, Cena won the Raw brand’s annual Elimination Chamber match to earn himself a WWE Championship shot against The Miz.One night later on Raw, both Cena and Miz derided The Rock’s previous comments, with Cena producing a rap questioning The Rock’s true commitment to WWE over his acting career, as he had done in an interview with UK newspaper The Sun three years previously which sparked the animosity.

Via satellite, The Rock responded to Cena’s rap on the February 28 edition ofRaw, citing that he started a movie career to help open the door for other wrestlers to go to Hollywood.

Trish Stratus and Michele McCool started the match.  Stratus performed her Matrix maneuver, but McCool stepped on her gut.  As McCool went to the top ropes, Stratus attempted her patented hurricanrana maneuver, but the maneuver was countered by McCool.  McCool and Stratus spilled to the outside.  Stratus went back into the ring and jumped on LayCool from the apron.

Snooki welcomed the booing before performing an round-off into a back flip into a back elbow on McCool.  The crowd approved of this  as Snooki got the win. Tonight’s attendance is 71,617 setting a Georgia Dome record for an “entertainment” event according to WWE record books mired in propaganda and ambiguity.
