UFC 126 Results and Analysis: UFC 126 Silva vs Belfort Post Fight Results

UFC 126 Results and Analysis: UFC 126 Silva vs Belfort Post Fight Results– The results of the UFC 126 is already here, and few minutes from now we will be able to determine whom among the two main event fight will win the championship bout. Let us all find out what it takes to be the middleweight championship winner as Anderson Silva will have a showdown against Vitor Belfort at Mandalay Bay and Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The game will have a kick off time of 10:00 pm EST.

Apparently, a middleweight title clash pitting the reigning and defending 185-pound kingpin Anderson Silvaagainst former teammate Vitor Belfort has become official, as both fighters stepped on the scales at 185-pounds on the nose.

We take a look at Belfort’s knock outs of Tra Telligman, Marvin Eastman and Wanderlei Silva. Belfort trainer Ron Frazier says Silva is going to see something he’s never seen in the cage before: Someone who has better hands and someone who is as fast, if not faster, as he is.

Aside from the main bout, we are also about to witness with the two critical light-heavyweight bouts on the card. First, we will about to witness a showdown between former champions Forrest Griffin as he meet face to face Rich Franklin. And secondly, the battle between two of the UFC’s biggest rising starts, Jon Jones and Ryan Bader is about to happen right after the first bout.

Furthermore, now it’s back to Silva and a look at his UFC 117 fight with Chael Sonnen. For good measure, the UFC has decided to throw in some of Sonnen’s best trash-talking clips. Moreso, Soares says Silva went into that fight with the goal of submitting Sonnen, because when have you ever seen Silva go into a fight wearing a gi?

Perhaps the most interesting happenings of the weigh-ins was the headliner, where Brazilians Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort squared off in a heated stare down. “The Spider” made light of Vitor’s comments heading into the championship contest, wearing a white mask mocking Belfort’s comments of the previously figurative additive to which he attributes to the facade the Silva puts on pre-fight. The two went nose-to-nose and were held back by UFC execs before matters could escalate.

Here is the official UFC 126 results which will bring you of what happened in every match or bout that we have witnessed. Find out whom among the fighters win in the UFC 126 Fight Results. UFC 126 Fight Card Live: UFC 126 Forrest Griffin vs Rich Franklin Live Fight Coverage

UFC 126 Fight Card Live: UFC 126 Forrest Griffin vs Rich Franklin Live Fight Coverage - The UFC 126: Silva vs Belfort is another upcoming mixed martial arts event just to be held by the UFC this February 5, 2011 live at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Last Vegas Nevada. Among its official UFC 126 Fight Card is the Light Heavy Weight Championship bout between Forrest Griffin vs Rich Franklin.

One of the strength of Rich Franklin is that he knows what it feels like to reach a dead-end and be dismissed from a title contention. Although he probable had enough to defeat most other top contenders at middleweight, his second defeat at the hands of Anderson Silva meant a lot that it was unlikely keep him moving to ever get a shot at winning his title back while the Brazilian continued to reign.

Apparently, the match against Belfort was his fifth in thirteen months (third pay per view main event as well) and saw Franklin’s body finally give way. A tired, beaten up Ace was demolished by the returning Phenom. It would be nine months before Franklin would return, managing to knockout Chuck Liddell towards the end of the first round.

On the other hand, Forrest Griffin is considered as one of the most important American-born fighter in the history of MMA. After being defeated by fellow TUF winner Rashad Evans for the light heavyweight title, Griffin was put in a genuine superfight against Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. Like he did with Franklin, the Middleweight Champion would seemingly destroy Griffin’s otherwise strong championship credentials as over a few short minutes Silva would first make him look ponderous and then make Griffin mentally quit.

According to Rob King from sherdog.com, I see a slugfest developing here and if that does indeed happen, it should favor Franklin. Griffin has been caught before on the feet by being too aggressive; the most notable example being his fight with Anderson. I believe Griffin has a higher belt rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but at first thought you seem to think Franklin would have the advantage based on whom he trains with. I’m going with Franklin via late decision.

Nevertheless, looking at the bout between Forrest and Griffin, the size difference is going to be a very big issue here because Franklin cannot compensate with a speed advantage over the opponent. Find out more with the UFC 126 live coverage online, results and Play-by- in just a short while.
